You’s Penn Badgley kisses Charlotte Ritchie in new season 4 photo

Netflix’s hit psychological drama You is currently filming its fourth season, and now we have a brand new set picture giving us a glimpse of what we can expect.

In the picture, Penn Badgley, who plays the protagonist and serial killer Joe Goldberg, can be seen kissing Ghosts actor Charlotte Ritchie.

Ritchie is set to play the character of Kate, who is supposedly extremely suspicious of Joe right from the very beginning. But given that the picture shows them about to kiss each other, it looks like Joe manages to convince her to trust him somehow.

In another set picture that was released early last month, Joe can be seen going right back to his serial killer ways as he tosses trash bags into a body of water, indicating that he might have murdered someone.

When we last saw him, he had faked his own death after killing his wife Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) and had left the child they had together with his co-worker Dante.

Talking about the direction in which the new season is headed, the former Gossip Girl star recently said that the show is going to have a different format.

“The tone is similar but it’s shifting in that there is a different format. We’re using a different format. It’s almost like we’re shifting the genre slightly. And I think it works,” he said.

He also talked about doing masturbation scenes on the show, and how he wanted to make them “less creepy”.

“Every time I’ve done a masturbation scene… I’ve always gotten the note to make it less creepy,” he revealed in a recent of his podcast, Podcrushed.

“They say like: ‘Close your eyes or go faster or go slower.’ I’m like: ‘What? This man is f***ing murdering people, and he’s masturbating in the street. You’re saying I’m making it creepy? How is it I’m the one making it creepy?’ he added.

You seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 is in production.
